I thought I'd post an update now after several years of using the Lyric. I've had a few people contact me to see if I'm still using them since my blog posts have stopped.
I'm still using the Lyric and still very happy with them. The Lyric has been through several versions over the past few years. Not all of them have been great, but I'm really happy to see improvements and even the desire to improve. I get the latest versions of the hardware and software every 3 months when I go in for a replacement.
I stay up to date and continue to watch the other technology out there. I'm a real technology nerd and have been tempted to switch just to play with the new toys out there. Bluetooth!!! Eventually I remember the fact that I now go days without thinking about my hearing aids with the Lyrics. I love that I can talk with my wife when I'm falling asleep instead of going silent. Lyrics have still be then best solution for me.

Has anyone experienced problems with Lyric cutting out? I am still in my one month trial period with Lyric and for the second time I have experienced cut out. AIid does not respond to the wand at all. I think this may be caused by water as I shower and wash my hair daily. Has anyone else had similar problems?
Hi Dane. I ran across your blog while researching ear plugs for Lyrics so I can snorkel while in Jamaica next month. I read that you had been swimming on several occasions with yours and had no problem with it. I have worn Lyrics for 3 years and have always been scared to submerge my head completely. Any advice or suggestions would be great! Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi Dane. Can you provide any more-recent update on the current state of Lyric reliability, quality, etc.? I used them 3+ years ago, for 2-3 years and really liked them. Then, the quality issues when Phonak took them over, so I went with some mini BTEs, which I still find to have much lesser sound quality and generally annoying with extraneous microphone sounds from glasses stems, wind, hair, etc. Thank you for any current experience, recommendation, etc. Dennis N.
